COMMON ground, takes its name from the fishing grounds off our British coastline which have been a shared resource for thousands of years. With the fishing boats of Seahouses harbour on the Northumberland coast as a starting point, the screen prints attempt to capture a ‘common sense’ of the familiar forms and colours of the boat prows when dry-docked in the harbour.
